Uncategorized

Along with the many current changes in the the Army, are the changes to the self development course form E5 to E6. The following is a message from the Army about the new process;

On February 1 2019, enrollment onto SSD2 will be discontinued. If you are currently enrolled in SSD2 , you will have until 30 September 2019 to complete the course. Soldiers that are not you will be dis enrolled and have to be enrolled again by your Component Quota Source Manager into DLC2.

Any E-5 Soldiers that is not currently enrolled in SSD2 will be enrolled to DLC2 by 1 February 2019. E-5’s that have completed SSD2, you’ll receive credit for completing the course. This mean you do not have to enroll in DLC2.

SSD2 and DLC2 course will run simultaneously in ALMS ( Army Learning Management System). DLC2 will be open for enrollment in ATRSS on 1 February 2019. Soldier that are E-5 will be enrolled by their Component Quota Source Manager and must complete DLC2 to attend their Resident PME.

There will also be changes for SSD3-5 to convert to DLC3-5 at later dates.

Below I added a link to the actual message as well as the new AR 350-1 that also explains the new process. Remember these PDF’s will also be available in our Manuals & Training Aids Tab.
