It has been a while, and we’re happy to finally announce some long-overdue updates here at SGT’s Desk.
First, we want to thank everyone who continued to visit, use, and share our resources over the past year and a half. We truly appreciate you continuing to trust SGT’s Desk as a resource to assist with your leadership needs.
So, where have we been?
Over the past year and a half, several members of our staff were mobilized and deployed overseas. As you can imagine, keeping the site updated while balancing military missions, deployments, family, and everything else that comes with serving became difficult.
We’re happy to report that everyone is now home safe.
And now that the team is back, it’s time to get SGT’s Desk back to work.
A lot has changed across the Army and the military during that time. New policies have been published, regulations and forms have changed, websites have moved, and new guidance continues to come down.
We know how frustrating it can be as a Leader when you need an answer, form, regulation, or resource and the information you find is outdated.
Our goal has always been simple:
Help NCOs stay efficient and give Leaders useful resources they can actually use.
What We’ve Updated
We have already started going through the site and updating some of our most commonly used pages and resources.
Some of the recent updates include:
- New and updated links on our Helpful Links page
- Updated Army publications, regulations, and forms
- New and updated training aids
- Updated body composition resources and information
- Newer fillable and auto-calculating DA Form 5500 tools
- Updated information concerning Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHtR)
- Updated information and resources regarding Religious Accommodations
- Removal and replacement of outdated or discontinued military websites and resources
And we’re not finished.
Over the coming months, we’ll continue working through older sections of SGT’s Desk, updating resources, adding new leadership tools, and creating new content based on the issues Leaders are dealing with in today’s Army.
Something Else Is Coming…
We’re also excited to announce that SGT’s Desk has partnered with a local Veteran-owned company to begin developing official SGT’s Desk merchandise.
We’re currently working on ideas for apparel, gear, and other items designed with Soldiers, NCOs, Veterans, and military families in mind.
We will also be exploring options for custom merchandise and designs.
More information will be released as those products get closer to launch, so keep an eye on the site.
Back to the Mission
SGT’s Desk was created to help make the job of being a Leader a little easier.
Whether you’re looking for a regulation, trying to find a form five minutes before formation, preparing a counseling, building a training plan, or just trying to figure out what the newest Army policy actually means—we want SGT’s Desk to be one of the places you can turn to.
There is still plenty of work to do, and we appreciate everyone who has stuck with us.
The team is home.
The site is getting updated.
New resources are coming.
And after a long year and a half…
