With the NFL season getting ready to start and preseason game are already in full swing. Everyone will be buying the newest jersey and setting up the fantasy leagues. The military is no exception and is filled with lots of NFL fans, I’m one of them. I’m a big NY Jets fan, born in Brooklyn, Green & White is in my blood. So when I went looking for tickets for the upcoming season, I checked a couple sites I’m familiar with. VETTIX.com & Ticket master. As I was searching for tickets, I decided to see if there were any Military discount on tickets. To my surprise other then VETTIX (which if you don’t know about, you should) there are lots of other ways to discount NFL game tickets. To name a few:

VetTix.com : Free tickets to sporting events, concerts and shows that are donated.

Gov X .com : A Website dedicated to service member of all branches as well as law enforcement. They offer discount NFL Game ticket if you are a member. ( I ‘am believe me, it’s well worth the membership. It’s free, just need proof of service)

Military.com : They actually have a section in this site that show different sites that offer discounted game tickets to service members.

Cheap Tickets.com : Site offers discounted tickets to games, events , and concerts.

TicketClub.com: Offer’s discounted tickets to all types of events not just NFL game, but proof of service is required.

NFL Salute to Service Program: Apply and get to be on the field a hold the flag along other service members and players, enjoy a game & sit in the side lines if selected.
These are just a few of the websites and programs offering discounted NFL tickets. I’ve used Vet Tix before and it’s a great program. I think it’s important that you all the service members take advantage of these services. Tickets aren’t cheap, and as much as I don’t mind watching a game from the comfort of my home. There’s nothing like going to a game a celebrating a victory with other fans. If you’ve never been to an NFL game I would suggest you go at least once, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
